The Malar International Music Festival will already, in its first year, offer a wide variety of International artists.
Having performed on a high level for well over a decade, Patrik Jablonski has had the opportunity to work with many conductors and musicians and meet a lot of agents. This has provided him with a thorough insight into the classical music industry not only as a performer & organizer but also as a listener. This is combined with his partner Gunnar Dalborg´s knowledge of managing festivals and events. There is also a shared view that classical music can be an entertaining, amusing and a profound experience.
As a Grand opening of the program and while the world´s classical lovers is celebrating Mozart´s 250th birthday, we will provide a concert you will unlikely find in any other concert hall. Mozart´s Piano Concerto no 7 for 3 pianos. On this occasion it will be performed by Peter & Patrik Jablonski together with Robert Wells and accompanied by the Wroclaw Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Lukasz Borowicz. Entertainment is often about doing something unexpected, daring to use new methodologies and different combinations of people and set-up. Other renowned artists that will contribute to this year´s festival are for example the caliber of Inger-Dam Jensen (soprano), John Hudson (tenor) Carolin Widmann (violin) and two upcoming artists such as Johan Rydh (baritone) & Petra Hallberg (mezzo-soprano). We are also pleased to welcome one of the giants of film music composition, Wojciech Kilar. Kilar´s "Missa pro pace" will end the The Malar International Music Festival´s first year and by doing so takes classical music back to one of it´s roots, i.e. in the Church.
